Dead and Gone

If you saw me dying of thirst

You will never offer me a drink,

If you saw me stranded on the road, you won't even stop to think.

If I do things better than you

Then you will despise me with everything 

And if you do it better than me

Then you make yourself a king.

Then when I die you feel sad and you come running to my grave

Just to find that I have gone

And there's nothing left to save.

Then you go to a page to write all your love on the wall 

That you never said to me

While i was alive to answer your call.

Ignorance of our arrogance 

how we treat this life and eachother 

Untill we realize what we have done 

Standing in front of our Creator.
